Powerful Phrases for Dealing with Difficult People by Renee Evenson
This book was chock full of situational examples and tips for how to deal with difficult people (like the title says) and I cannot recommend it enough. RenΓ©e even has tips on dealing with your incompetent or passive boss! Go get it!

Us of Legendary Gods by Nick Savage
While there are things with the formatting I’d love to see changed, I doesn’t detract from the story. At least most of the time. Being an author who’s a heavy reader and not agreeing with formatting is…well, a challenge πŸ˜… Anyway, I’m really enjoying Nick’s story, and am excited to find out who else is a vampire or werewolf!

Country Roads: A Thriller (The Relic Runner Book 3) by Ernest Dempsey
Every time I read about Baldwin, I see Jackie Earle Haley in the show Preacher πŸ˜† big corporations and those who run them without morals or ethics… And Dak Harper! I don’t know where this character came from (I do know the author quite well 🀣) but he’s amazing. We all write ourselves into one or more characters, even if just a few traits. I say this quite frequently to Ernie, though he denies any similarities to Dak πŸ˜‚

Unfuck Your Relationship by Healing Anxious and Avoidant Attachment by Tara Wilson
I have anxious attachment and anything I can learn to heal it is my friend. Even if that means learning from a bunch of different sources and putting together something that works for me. I fucking hate having anxious attachment, and I don’t use the h-word. Let’s see what Tara has to offer!

The Sell by Fredrik Eklund
Fredrik is just *chef’s kiss*! I don’t think it’s possible to adore him any more. Or maybe it is, but I wouldn’t know unless I met him πŸ˜‚ His tips on taking care of yourself and heavily scheduling your day – by which I mean scheduling things like working out and sleeping, too – are insightful. He gives an example of his typical day, which was probably what they looked like when he wrote the book, maybe not what it looks like now. After reading his typical day, it reinforced this: That’s NOT what I want my life to be. Nope, nosir, no fucking way. It’s not that I’m lazy – I’m contemplative. I enjoy thinking and being creative. I’d have no time for either of those things if I led the kind of life he did.

Currently Listening

Monster Hunter Vendetta by Larry Correia
STOP MAKING ME CRY, LARRY! 🀣 Every time I read or listen to this book, I get all teary and β€œtip a 40.” IYKYK. This time, I went so far as to change the lyrics to Gangsta Lean by DRS πŸ˜‚

I Didn’t Sign Up for This by Dr. Tracy Dalgeish
I swear she wrote this book to speak directly to ME. I stumbled upon her just when I’d begun to think all relationship therapists/coaches were all saying the same thing. SHE’S NOT and that’s why I trust her so much more. I’m not going to get into detail on my relationship, but suffice it to say, Dr. Tracy has eased my mind by letting me know there truly are other schools of thought. Such a relief when you don’t feel like you can talk to anyone about what you’re experiencing (hi, anxious attachment and that little voice in my head that says I should listen to what my well-meaning best friend says on how relationships β€œshould be.” You can both sit down and shut up.) I’m excited to keep listening, particularly when I have the ability to take notes πŸ˜…
